Brazil seeks to expand trade with Indonesia, including beef

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva expressed Brazil’s interest in diversifying trade with Indonesia, including sectors such as civil aviation, defense, and beef. “We want to facilitate the trade of Brazilian beef, which can contribute to the food security of the Indonesian people,” Lula said during a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Brasília.

Lula also indicated that under Brazil’s presidency of Mercosur, negotiations for a trade agreement with Indonesia will be resumed, aiming to strengthen economic ties between the two regions, according to Forbes Brazil.
